"Pawn Shop " Ch 2 I spent the next couple of days preparing for my presentation. It was a golden opportunity to accelerate my career and get a foot in the door of a worldwide corporation. I liked WEI because they embraced the creative process giving their inventors and artisans the freedom to do what they do best. It was a nurturing atmosphere I was eager to explore but my mind was still plagued with thoughts of Duo. I knew when he walked in the door late in the evening he didn’t have the payment from the downcast expression in his eyes and every cell in my body hummed to life. “Hi,” I smiled trying not to lap at his long body with my gaze. “May I see it?” he asked looking forlorn and anxious until I pulled it from beneath my shirt and his eyes warmed over. I was a little jealous of the thing because it could bring such an expression to his beautiful eyes where when he finally looked up at me they just sort of clouded over. “Is everything all right?” I asked wanting to move the situation along. I couldn’t help the longing desire to hear him offer himself to me even if there was a voice in the back of my mind that shouted condemnation at my wretched soul. “It was a gift,” he sighed reaching out to touch it which meant his fingers were gliding along my chest. His eyes shifted when I shivered but I couldn’t stop mine from begging him for what I wanted. “Will you keep it safe if I agreed to…entertain you?” he asked and though I could hear the reluctance in his tone there was lust buried beneath the disdain. I swallowed hard enough to amuse him because I could see the want in his eyes and it was aimed at me. He might have been reluctant to offer himself as a means to retain his property but he was obviously attracted to me which was probably why he was willing to make such a deal. There was little thought in my mind other than I wanted him so bad my balls had curled up when I confessed. “Yes.” “You won’t get in trouble for not having the money?” he asked stepping back to lock the door but he’d shown up right at closing time again so I didn’t argue. “I don’t even care,” I chuckled coming around to accept him into my arms whereupon I felt a great surge of energy course through me when I discovered he was already trembling and as sensitive as wet rice paper. “Are you all right?” I asked moving in to methodically taste the skin of his neck and jaw and he shuddered so hard he had to cling to me to keep from falling. “I may be somewhat useless,” he panted allowing me to kiss his sweet lips. It was so good I couldn’t stop until he moaned heatedly and let me pull him so close he was forced to wrap himself around me. He gasped when I jerked him off the floor and headed for the back but he was kissing me so ravenously I had to have him. I still couldn’t believe it, even while perched on the edge of infinity with him laying there submerged in the thick passion we’d cultivated I just couldn’t comprehend that he was so willing to give me such a great treasure but my doubts didn’t stop me from pushing forward and filling him up. He as leaving? “But I need to get my cross back before I go.” No, he couldn’t leave, not now, not when I had only just found him. “I can’t return it until the dept is paid,” I reminded him. “I know,” he sighed straightening his shirt. “Just…don’t sell it.” “Come see me,” I grinned snagging his pants leg before he could walk away. “You don’t have to wait till the due date,” I reasoned hoping to entice him with the promise of more of what we had just enjoyed. He eyed me sulkily for a moment but I could see he wanted it too so it wasn’t all that surprising when he nodded. It was an odd beginning but I hoped to tell the story many times during my lifetime. If only I could find a way to fuse myself to him, to become in intimate part of his life in more ways than just how sinfully our bodies fit together. However, the only link I had to him at that moment was the little, silver cross that adorned my neck so I clung to it and hoped it would grant me enough time to permanently attach myself to his heart. Whatever the problems I still felt pretty good after our romp so I was grinning and bouncing around the shop while I closed up and wondered when he might come by again then my mood took a downward spiral when someone rapped loudly on the door. “Yes?” I inquired pegging the young man that was scowling at me as an undercover cop instantly. “A guy with a long, brown braid came by here,” he stated. “What of it?” I asked shortly having bowed up at the idea that he was in some way connected to Duo. “Did he sell something?” “What do you care?” I asked pretending I didn’t know he was a cop. “That young man is under investigation by the Preventer’s,” he told me producing a badge that impressed me. It wasn’t an easy organization to get into and he was so young it meant he either had inside connections or he was some sort of super cop. “What did he do?” I asked suddenly desperate to know more about Duo’s life. Was he in trouble? “That is still unclear,” he informed me. “Did he do or say anything unusual?” I almost choked on the vision of him stretched tight beneath me while he shuddered and came but I wasn’t about to educate him on the matter. “Not really.” He watched me carefully for a time then produced a card with the name Change Wufei inscribed on it along with a telephone number where he could be reached. It was depressing to think Duo might be in some sort of trouble and when I thought about how desperate he was to get the cross back it sat uneasily in my mind. Did it belong to someone else? Had he stolen it and was forced to do dastardly things in order to reclaim it? But it was such a simple piece with so little monetary value. If he had stolen it then there must have been some other reason he wanted it back so badly, perhaps something personal that made it more valuable than the silver it was made from would warrant. My blood froze when the thought that perhaps it belonged so some special girl flitted through my mind but the memory of how brazenly he had begged to be filled with my cock seemed to negate the idea. He defiantly liked men but that didn’t mean he didn’t like women too. I felt ill thinking about it so I put it aside and tried to get on with things while I waited for him to appear. I was scheduled to meet with Quatre Winner soon after so I got my things together and prepared my presentation. If all went well there was a good chance I would be working with them closely in the coming weeks but I had to work out the deal first. He had proven himself a trustworthy partner when he didn’t take the distiller and run to his technicians so he could claim the technology as his own so I was confident we could find a way to work together. “Hiiro!” he beamed when I entered his office coming to take my hand and I suddenly felt warm inside. He is a bright spirit that shines on everything around him which gave him a great deal of worth in my mind even without his connection to the trillions of dollars under his control. “Hello,” I smiled setting my bag on the floor to grip his hand. “What’s this?” he asked considering my pack. “You wanted to discuss my ideas,” I explained feeling somewhat off balance until he grinned. “There’s more?” he enthused trying to step around me and get a look in my bag but I laughed and intercepted. “I’ll explain but I’ll need somewhere to spread out.” “Wonderful!” he smiled leading me into the hall where we were greeted by his employees all the way to a board room. “Here,” he said pulling out the big chair at the head of the table. “You can set up anywhere you like. I’ll be right back. You don’t mind if I have some of my scientists sit in do you?” “That’s fine,” I agreed already setting up. My inventions weren’t that easy to duplicate so I wasn’t all that worried about my ideas being stolen. He returned with two men in tow, one of which had a huge head shaped like a mushroom and another with a wide, pencil thin mustache. They were more than a little interested in the things I brought to light eagerly soaking up whatever information I offered and the next thing I knew I was contracted to WEI in a tentative agreement to expand on several of my inventions. It was the start I’d been looking for but getting to work with someone like Quatre was a major bonus. I trusted him completely by the end of the meeting and gladly offered my partnership to him and his crew. We were wrapping it up for the day when he explained that Doktor S and Instructor H weren’t the only partners we would have on the project. “I have a new thermal specialist joining the team,” Quatre was saying while I packed my things away. “He’s a brilliant mind but he won’t be able to start until he puts his affairs in order so he can relocate.” “That could slow us down considerably,” I pointed out disappointed in the possibility. “It’ll be fine,” he assured me. “I’ll see that he’s brought up to date. You just work on expanding those theories. We’ll need much more power and versatility if we’re to be successful.” “All I need is access to the proper components and the space to work on them,” I smiled confidently, “And I’ll put WEI on the top of the technological ladder by the end of the year.” “Of that I have no doubt,” he chuckled bidding me farewell. I was ecstatic about the merger and couldn’t wait to call my uncle and give him the news. He’d have to find someone to replace me at the shop once things got rolling but I wasn’t willing to give it up completely until I found a way to secure Duo’s interest. However, my mulling over my career and love life took a backseat when I noticed a familiar face in the lobby and smiled. “Hi,’ I greeted the young tiger trainer. “Hello,” he returned looking at me oddly. “I’m sorry to bother you,” I offered thinking I might be because of the way his brow creased. “But I wondered if I might ask about the stud you bought at my store.” “Yes?” he prompted leaning on one long leg expectantly. “Would it be possible to buy it back?” I asked hoping to retrieve my new partner’s effect but he shook his head and called the elevator. “Sorry,” he consoled. “I believe I’ve found the rightful owner,” I explained hoping to appeal to his sense of charity but he merely snorted wryly. “It’s very unique,” he told me offering a small smile while he entered the lift and stated, “It’s where it should be.” I watched him go with some trepidation but he had acquired it legally so there wasn’t anything else I could do. It seemed a shame but I let it go and headed home to call my uncle who was as happy for me as I thought he would be. He told me to find someone to work at the shop in my stead for however many hours I would need off and left me with his blessing. It was going to take a good amount of effort to work out the new spec’s on my ideas so I bent to it but my mind was constantly working around the memory of Duo and when he might return.
