“Mmmm, Duo?” he groaned loathe to move and disturb the wonderful moment but his uncertainty about his bedmates state of mind demanded further investigation. “I want to feel it again,” Duo whispered near his ear as he was spooning his back, his arm wrapped comfortably around Hiiro’s waist while his hand moved in rhythmic time. It was in him to argue. Duo needed to study after all and he was far from satisfied with merely patronizing this strange, new curiosity. It had become crystal clear the night before that he wanted much more from the beautiful, longhaired boy than merely his body. His heart craved a commitment that he believed was an unreasonable demand considering they had known each other for less than a week. Duo’s efforts increased chasing the doubts and misgivings away and he found it incredibly easy to give in. Once things started heating up however, he was unable to stop from turning and claiming a kiss that Duo hungrily returned and the next thing he knew he was on top of him grinding and rooting around in a desperate effort to satisfy Duo’s ravenous need. He was as demanding as he was generous but Hiiro couldn’t help but want more. He wanted to share everything with him, heart, body and mind but felt his frustration over their failure to acquire a depth of saturation that would satiate their need. “Damn it,” Duo groaned slowing in his efforts to bring them both off as he laid back ending the long kiss they had been sharing. “What’s wrong?” Hiiro asked nibbling his jaw softly as he moved slowly beside him refusing to let the moment cool but a shock wave went straight through him when Duo informed him… “It’s not enough.” A long moment and deep, cleansing breath later granted Hiiro the presence of mind to suggest, “There are….other ways,” as he slowly spread his legs and thrust temptingly into Duo’s hips. Duo’s hands came around to grip his ass pulling him hard against him but the distress seemed to only intensify as his eyes clenched shut and he confessed, “But that’s not what I want.” “What do you want?” Hiiro asked popping up with intense interest. The suddenly flush of Duo’s skin and way he turned his head shyly sent such a thrill through him he was suddenly shaking and unable to contain the ravenous hunger that tore loose inside him. “Are you saying you want me to?” “I have no idea,” Duo grumbled forcing the words from reluctant lips as his mantle deepened dangerously and he explained, “But this isn’t getting me close enough to you.” Duo grunted when he was suddenly kissed with such passion his body heat flared anew then Hiiro was gone then he was back and his legs were being prodded open as Hiiro kissed him again. His breath came in hard when Hiiro’s slick hand rubbed along his excited cock and sack pushing him quickly back into the purple mire. He was so caught up in the sudden, overwhelming assault on his pleasure centers he was unaware just what was happening until Hiiro growled and pushed two fingers inside him and his entire world faded to white. “All right?” the Japanese boy ground out doing his best not to rush. “What the fuck… is that?!” Duo panted clinging to him for all he was worth. “I’ll make you never want for anyone but me,” Hiiro promised exploiting the boy’s pleasure point shamelessly. “Yesssssss,” Duo groaned arching back under the growing heat. Hiiro nibbled on his jaw and ear relishing the way his eyes rolled back and his body trembled until he couldn’t stand it anymore and moved into position. There was a moment of uncertainty in Duo’s eyes just before penetration that he wiped away with a tender kiss then his hand was on Duo’s shaft distracting him as Hiiro opened his body and mind granting him pleasure that was coupled with understanding as he softly whispered… “I love you.” “NNNG!” Duo grunted snatching him close as he thrust his hips forward and embraced the incumbent heat that was quickly rearranging reality. Hiiro took him wholly not allowing even one moment of their joining to pass without making damn sure Duo understood the feelings in his heart. He wanted so much to see surrender in his eyes but his need to prolong the encounter overwhelmed begging his continuance as Duo gave himself freely. He’d never known such contentment as he slowly rocked him and held him close but soon it wasn’t enough and Duo was begging for more. His body answered the longhaired boy’s cry pushing them deeper, ever closer to the summit and when they finally stepped into infinity together he was so deep inside him he knew he’d never again be free. They lay for a very long time just holding each other afterward and Hiiro wondered what he was feeling but couldn’t bring himself to desecrate the moment with insecurities or demands so it was Duo who once again started the wheels of time moving again. “I should study,” he sighed softly kissing Hiiro’s chest before pushing reluctantly away. Hiiro knew the truth of the statement, he couldn’t cope with the idea that Duo would be locked away from him when they arrived so he smiled and let him get up. He also realized that he must be very confused both by his attraction for Hiiro and his willingness to surrender to desires he had obviously never felt before. It was Hiiro’s dream come true to discover how sensitive and responsive his new lover was but as a man he also understood the physiological difficulties of so utterly relinquishing control. To give himself to Hiiro so freely had to have brought up some issues he would need time to come to grips with so he tucked his need to talk away and got dressed. Conversation centered around Duo’s studies and what would be expected of them when they arrived. Hiiro had been sending regular reports on their current situation attesting to the fact that Duo had passed all medical exams and proven to be a worthy candidate for the colony. His suggestion that Duo be allowed to take Relena’s place had been received with skepticism but Hiiro’s insistence that he could become a valued member of the group and their reluctance to concede to the care of a non-productive prisoner prompted them to consider his proposal. Upon their arrival Duo would be tested and if he passed the academic assessment as well as the remaining medial screenings he would be admitted as a botanist in training and assigned Relena’s intended position. He also learned that the girl had been located unharmed though understandably distressed on Mars but had been unable to contact them due to a misunderstanding and the refusal of someone named Big Ed to believe that she was not the person they had been waiting for. Duo was working on the last of a series of books of photosynthesis while Hiiro attempted to update his report but he’d hit the backspace so many times Duo finally laughed. “Try ‘I banged him’,” he suggested making Hiiro’s ears flare red. “J’s going to have kittens,” Hiiro chuckled pushing away from the keyboard for a moment. “They didn’t know about your… tendencies?” Duo smirked. “I didn’t know,” Hiiro smiled stretching his arms over his head to release the tension in his shoulders. Duo’s eyes raked down his form appreciatively before he set the portable aside and slipped down to kneel on the floor snaking his arms around his waist. “Want a reminder?” he purred moving in to nibble his chin. “Mmmm,” Hiiro moaned softly wrapping him up warmly in his embrace. “Are you really ok with this?” he had to ask as doubt crept into his mind again. “Looks like I’ve got plenty of time to come to terms with it,” Duo chuckled wryly. “Besides… I think I’m addicted to you now,” he confessed making his way back to the tender skin just behind Hiiro’s ear. It was incredibly easy to forget his worries over the situation while they made love. They didn’t bother to get dressed when it was over choosing to lie on the floor and inspect the many files of information the braided boy was attempting to memorize before his exam the next day. It was strangely enticing to be there so completely alone with him. All they would have to do was cut off communications and there truly would be no one else in the universe but them. However, it would have been impossible to survive for long under those circumstances so Hiiro tried his best to help his new lover absorb four years of knowledge in the few hours they had left. Duo didn’t help matters however, as every so often he felt the need to tease Hiiro into playing with him and the Japanese boy discovered he had absolutely no defense against him spending far too much time indulging in the braided boy’s delightful need for discovery. It was all falling into place; everything he could have hoped for, everything he could ever want was quickly being provided leaving him to wonder if it were real or merely a momentary reprieve from the mundane reality of life. “Explain migration,” Hiiro instructed trying hard to ignore the warmth of Duo’s lips against his chest. “Gene flow, from natural range to new range,” Duo replied snuggling into Hiiro’s strong arms a little deeper. “Ground tissue?” Hiiro went on. “Photosynthesis structural support storage,” Duo sighed happily. Hiiro checked the answer again and cocked a brow. “Products of light absorption?” “NADPH (electron) ATP (energy) used for carbohydrate synthesis,” Duo replied lazily. The corner of Hiiro’s mouth quirked as he read the answer from the text on the screen again. “Duo,” he chuckled. “How did you know that?” “It’s right, isn’t it?” the braided boy inquired raising up to peer at the screen. “Yes,” Hiiro smiled gazing delightedly. “But it’s word for word. Did you memorize this?” “Oh,” Duo replied dismissively snuggling back down into Hiiro’s chest as he explained, “I remember everything I read.” “Everything?” Hiiro repeated cocking a brow and smiling when Duo nodded. “Then you have a photographic memory?” “I’m not really sure exactly what that means,” Duo replied. “But I don’t think so. Photographic implies total recall and that’s not how it is. I just remember what I read, not everything else.” “No wonder you’re not worried about the exam,” Hiiro chuckled setting the portable aside in favor of rolling over on top of him. “You doubted me?” Duo grinned playfully and was rewarded with a kiss. The comment slowly bored its way into Hiiro’s thin shield reminding him that there were doubts still creeping around in his mind and finding the answers to his questions was suddenly something he needed to do. “You’re not really stuck here,” he told his lover who stilled upon hearing the strange comment. “There are deliveries of essential items once a year,” he explained adding in the softest of whispers against his temple, “You could return to Earth.” The sudden tension in Duo alarmed him causing him to pull back and gape at the horrified expression in his eyes as he asked, “You want me to leave?” “Hell, no!” Hiiro exclaimed laughing at the ridiculous notion as he wrapped him up tight. “I wouldn’t even land if I could have my way,” he chuckled. “I just thought you should know. They were planning on incarcerating you until the supply ship arrived then sending you back but…” “By then they’ll be so dependant on me they’ll beg me to stay,” Duo grinned squeezing his hips playfully with his legs. “We’ll be the only same sex couple on the planet,” Hiiro pointed out pressing his hips into him in reply. “That doesn’t bother you?” “Do you think they’ll have a problem with it?” Duo inquired relaxing in the growing heat. “No,” the Japanese boy smiled moving in for another taste of his neck. Duo’s score on the exam the next day prompted Dr. J to accuse him of cheating until Hiiro gleefully informed him of Duo’s extraordinary literary skill. It was accepted that he would take Relena’s place but under the title of apprentice to the current botanist on duty instead of her partner. Duo accepted this with a promise that he would soon earn an equal position in not only the terrarium but all other aspects of the colony as a whole to which Hiiro laughed out loud and kissed him happily. There was no doubt in his mind that the others would love Duo as much as he did. He’d been in constant contact with the colonists for as long as he could remember and knew them well enough that when they offered bright smiles and open arms upon their arrival it didn’t surprise him in the least. Duo was delighted by the welcome quickly making friends and offering his aide and before they knew it they had started to build their new home together. A week had passed before things started to settle down, they had moved into the apartment that had been supplied for the newest couple from Earth though some small adjustments had been made such as the nature of Hiiro’s companion’s wardrobe. Duo spent most of his time either helping Noin, the young woman who was assigned as his superior in the greenhouse, or reading endlessly about Hiiro’s scientific work and how he planned to apply his knowledge to further develop the planet. His knowledge grew with each passing day and Hiiro was thrilled to think that someday soon his companion would stand beside him as his equal and understood for the first time what it was his heart truly desired. Duo was so much more that merely a body to keep him warm or someone to talk to. He was the essence of all things good in his life, he was beauty and desire, laugher and passion all rolled up in a playful little ball that had become the center of his existence. He was his partner and as Hiiro lay in the afterglow of a particularly rambunctious romp and lovingly kissed Duo’s damp hair he said a silent thank you to a man named Charlie who had unwittingly granted him the blessing of discovering his one, true companion. owari :)
