Summary: When Duo discovers an ancient bottle his life his irreversibly altered by the beautiful, blue genie that resides within.

AN: This was written some years ago in response to a fic I read. I so enjoyed the character dynamic’s I couldn’t resist borrowing the idea and writing a fic of my own using a variation of the character profiles. The original fic was Blue Bottled Belly Dancers... by clarysage ^_^ I liked it so much I wanted more so I wrote this but that was uh... years before I ever thought to post anything. I don't really remember how closely mine follows the original but I hope it's entertaining. ^_^ Thanks everyone!

"Bottled Blue "

Ch 6

And so the dawn came and with it the dread preparations for war. Duo found it odd how excited everyone appeared to be. There was fear but the long break between battles seemed to have stoked the fiery will to fight in the men. They were to travel two days to the east and intercept a force that was approaching the main lines from the rear and negate the threat. The odd thing was the force was small. Too small to perform the task before them which made the men both wary and anxious to be done with them. Hiiro spent a good deal of the first day on the trail explaining to Duo the basic strategies of battle and teaching him some maneuvers that would help him be a productive member of the troop. He was not, as he had hoped, allowed to change his clothes and still wore the flimsy, little silken garments he’d become accustomed to which purely delighted the other men of the procession. Thankfully, he’d become friends with some of these guys and took the jibing as it was meant leaving him able to laugh it off with everyone else. He knew any one of them would gladly lay down his life in order to save his and not just because he belonged to the Blue Jinn. It was his hope that he could return their favor as well in the coming battle though he had no confidence whatsoever that he’d actually be capable of taking another man’s life. Hiiro had smiled patiently when he confessed his misgivings on the matter and equipped him with a glowering scythe that he told him would surely guide the souls of the soldiers that fell to it to their just reward in Heaven. Duo wasn’t so sure about the Heaven part but he had no doubt the weapon would come in handy and thanked him properly that night.

The second day wasn’t as leisurely and he saw little of his lover for most of the morning. He was not permitted to ride alone and was found walking by Danahl’s side when Hiiro did finally reappear just after lunch. The Jinn wasted no time in scooping him up and planting him comfortably on his lap making both Duo and his walking companion laugh.

“What news?” Danahl asked still chuckling at Duo’s bright red cheeks.

“The forward troops have already begun their preparation,” the Jinn replied distractedly as he seemed much more interested in the hicky he was trying to put on Duo’s neck.

“Good,” the braided boy laughed squirming around in an attempt to retain his healthy flesh. “My feet are killing me,” he sulked cutely knowing how his lover would react to it. Hiiro didn’t disappoint and dove it to finish his task. “Why can’t I have some hiking boots or something?” the longhaired boy groused resigning himself to yet another love mark for his collection.

“What’re hiking boots?” Hiiro asked leaning back to inspect his work. He seemed very happy with it.

“Never mind,” Duo chuckled steeling another kiss. He could literally feel his lover’s heart speed up and the presence of the red ribbon that only he and his lover knew of tightening comfortingly around his own. “Are you needed right now?” he asked letting his body melt into Hiiro’s chest.

“No,” the Jinn smiled and suddenly the trail, the soldiers and horses and the sky itself had vanished. He wasn’t surprised to find himself lying on a large poof in a tent that had no doubt been erected along the front lines for shelter while the army dug in. Neither was he amazed when his clothes slithered from his body allowing his lover full reign over his territory. The excitement of the march and impending battle had manifest itself in Hiiro’s loins in the most delicious ways possible as far as Duo was concerned. Hiiro seemed to want him more purely than ever before and that was just fine with him. He could never get enough of him. Not if he laid with him every hour of every day for a thousand years would it ever be enough so he lay back and hungrily lapped up all the affection, desire and passion Hiiro had to give. He couldn’t remember a time when he hadn’t craved being filled up by his lover and now, after all this time he couldn’t help feeling empty when left on his own. This was all that mattered, having Hiiro deep inside him stretching him, filling him up body and soul. There would never be a time when he didn’t crave this feeling. He wanted more the moment his lover walked away.

The battle began at night.

As expected the opposing force was not large but they were very well equipped and trained. By the time the moon hung high in the smoke riddled sky they had fought their way deep within the Mongolian strong hold. Duo had seen his share of the fighting from his vantage point among the rear guard. Up until that point he had been helping with the wounded and re-supplying of weapons but the enemy was fast pushing their way beyond them in spite of their greater numbers. He got his first good look at Hiiro as he fought along side the elite guard in the early morning hours and was utterly confounded by the sight of him. Never had he seen him portrayed so magnificently than when silhouetted by the silvery radiance of the moon, his chest shimmering in the light, his eyes like cobalt flames in the night as he took down one opponent after another. In all the time he’d known the Jinn he’d never really realized what and who he was until that moment. He was the Blue Jinn. All the power of the cosmos held in the palm of his hand. Hands that had so often gently caressed Duo’s body and now mowed down his enemy with deadly precision and suddenly Duo understood his lover... was a God.

Duo’s attention was so riveted on Hiiro’s form he hadn’t noticed the battle begin to overtake him until Danahl, who had insisted on staying close by his side, gave a horrendous war cry and dove into the fray. Duo started not really knowing what he should do but there was no time for indecision as one of the enemy soldiers descended on him. He just barely managed to roll out of the way before the other’s sword cleaved the air. Duo forgot how to think reacting on sheer instinct alone as his fist closed around the shaft of his scythe and he came up swinging, one sure swoosh of it’s glowering green blade separated his opponents head from his shoulders and he felt it for the first time, the incredible power of releasing another mans soul. There was no time or place for grief, he knew the moment his blade fell exactly where the others soul would go. Hiiro hadn’t been exaggerating when he said the weapon would deliver its victims straight into the arms of heaven and as its new master Duo knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that’s exactly what it had done. Hiiro had saved him once again. With this, he was free to defend himself without the burden of guilt or shame and over the next few hours he proved time and again he belonged in the battle just as much as anyone else. He did wish he’d been allowed better attire however, since he was apparently a better fighter than most of the other men and after awhile his violet garb was ripped and tattered, covered in the blood and fluids of the men that had fallen to his hand. He was sweaty and dirty and stank to high heaven but he’d never felt more alive in his entire life. When Hiiro suddenly appeared at his side looking in much the same shape he literally jumped into his arms and kissed him thoroughly allowing the omnipotent presence of the Jinn to shield them for a moment as Hiiro drew him into himself and returned his affection.

“We are not alone,” Hiiro told him when they parted wiping the happy smile from Duo’s face. It wasn’t that he was really enjoying the battle but he was damn sure happy to see Hiiro.

“What to you mean?” he asked sliding back down until his feet found the ground. Hiiro took a moment to dispatch an over zealous soldier before he answered.

“This battle should have been won hours ago.” Duo looked around and realized that he was right. Their numbers had dwindled and though they appeared to be taking down more of them than they were of Hiiro’s troops there were still just as many of them as ever.

“But... how?” Duo asked appalled to think that this would go on until there was no one left. What frightened him the most however, was the fear and uncertainty he saw in Hiiro’s eyes as he scanned the predawn horizon and replied.

“Magic.”

“What?” the longhaired boy gasped and even as he did a black shadow rose from deep within the enemy ranks.

It was black, so black it made the night seem like day. It’s ebony presence throbbing like the beating of a heart as he drew closer to the pair. Hiiro bent and kissed him once then suddenly disappeared into the fray heading straight for the pitch. For the first time Duo’s heart skipped a beat in fear for his lover. Magic? Did that mean another Jinn? His answer came in the form of a sapphire light that suddenly sprang to life amid the fighting and Duo understood this to be his lover’s battle aurora of a sort. It was one thing to fight against mere humans but to face another of his own kind? What would it be like? He recalled Hiiro telling him he was not immortal. He could die and even be killed and suddenly he couldn’t breath. Could this other end his life?

“Hiiro!” he yelled over the den but he knew his lover was too far away to hear it. Vaguely he knew this was the first time he’d said his name since the day of his arrival but he didn’t care anymore. “HIIRO!” he shouted again diving forward in search of him.

He couldn’t die. Not without Duo. There was no way he was staying behind! His first sight of him as he burst into the open where the two aurora’s collided was Hiiro skidding across the ground, his sword held up to defend his body against the powerful blow of the other’s spear. He was pretty much the same size as Hiiro, each titan reaching at least eight feet tall and each bearing a weapon of other worldly origin that sparkled and hissed with a life of its own. The clash sent sparks and dust flying into the air and stark terror into Duo’s heart. He was Asian like Hiiro only his characteristics were vastly different than Duo’s lovers. He had black hair as slick as silk thread that was tied back in a small pony tail and skin like molten gold but it was his attire that made it clear his origin must have been somewhere in China.

None of it mattered to Duo. All he cared about was seeing that Hiiro was safe. So intent on that idea was he that he neglected to remember that he was still within the battlefield and if his lover hadn’t suddenly turned his attention from his opponent to shoot a beam of cobalt light from the tip of his blade the man that had been about to attack Duo from behind might have succeeded. Duo realized however, as the Chinese Jinn stopped to consider the Blue Jinn’s actions the damage was far worse than any injury he might have sustained. In one fell swoop the raven haired Jinn grinned at Duo then nodded his head to his men and attacked Hiiro with a ferocious force. Duo once again screamed his name and made to dart out and join him but suddenly found himself in the strong arms of several of the enemy, his arms instantly lashed to his body as his mouth was gagged. The last thing he saw before his eyes were covered and tied tight was Hiiro falling to his knees under a crushing blow from the Chinese boy.

He fought. He fought with all his might and did some damage before his head split with pain and all went dark. When he awoke he was in a strange place surrounded by people he didn’t know and tied naked to a stake in the middle of the enemy camp. A quick mental assessment of his condition confirmed that his head was still the only thing that hurt which indicated he hadn’t been violated physically but the humiliation of being trussed up like this and used for the amusement of the men was almost as bad. A page boy ran off presumably to inform his master when he saw that Duo was awake. Several of the soldiers had taken to poking at him with sticks and laughing before the massive Chinese boy came sauntering into view. They spoke a roughly different dialect but the men weren’t Chinese like their Jinn so he understood some of what they said. It sounded to him like this guy was pretty much the same as Hiiro and simply served their leader. The main difference was they didn’t call him a Jinn. The word they used was Kareen. Looking at him, his stride purposeful and arrogant, his eyes dark and brooding Duo got the feeling this might be what they called a Jinn that had a dark soul. They named him Wufei.

He didn’t speak at first, only stood quietly regarding him; his black eyes raking Duo’s nakedness with such vulgarity it made him long to wash himself. The worse part was that he looked fit and unharmed which made Duo wonder what condition Hiiro might be in. He knew he was alive because he could still feel his heart beating through the red ribbon that connected them but he had no way of knowing if he was hurt. After a time his captor walked over to one of the men and jerked his water flask free of his belt then came to offer it to Duo. He could feel the dry cracks in his lips and knew he was dehydrated but his stubborn will would not allow him to drink what this man offered.

“He’ll be angry if you harm yourself,” Wufei told him smirking as he poured a good portion of he cool liquid on his face. “Drink,” he told him holding the flask out again but Duo refused by simply turning his head. The other laughed. “You have spirit,” he chuckled drinking long and deep again. Duo shivered as he looked him over again once he was done but it held none of the delight that his heart felt when Hiiro looked at him like that. “I can see why he values you,” he said softly stepping up behind the longhaired boy.

“Where is he?” Duo asked unable to hold his tongue. Wufei chuckled again and Duo felt the heat of his breath on the back of his neck and pressed himself into to stake in an effort to move away from him.

“He won the battle,” the Chinese boy told him leaning his weight on his back. The men watching were all getting a very big kick out of all this which just made the entire thing that much more humiliating. “But I took the prize,” he purred bending to bite Duo’s shoulder firmly as he slipped his hands down and around his hips.

There was nothing he could do, no where to go and no way he was getting his hands free from the ropes that held them. All he could do was close his eyes and try to picture Hiiro’s face and hope that he’d be able to make up for his weakness and stupidity somehow should he survive. He said a silent prayer to his lover begging his forgiveness as the Chinese boy’s fingers glided over his hips, down his stomach and then suddenly he was shaking and gasping and something was sizzling and crackling and Duo opened his eyes to find his tormentor frying like a piece of hot bacon on a griddle. He looked like he was being electrocuted, his hair curling up and hissing and smoke pouring from his ears as his black eyes rolled back in his head then, with great effort he managed to shove himself away and all that Duo had felt during the entire episode was a hot burning in his chest that told him Hiiro was well aware of what had just happened. Two of the men came forward to aid their scorched magician but Wufei only pushed them away and recomposed himself.

“He’s used Destinies Bond on him,” he told them though they didn’t appear to understand. Duo understood though. It was the red ribbon. It was protecting him still. He smiled recalling how Hiiro had promised it would be the only protection he would need. “No matter,” the other said shaking off the final indignation of the situation. “There are ways around that as well,” he smiled reaching to unhook Duo’s bindings from the stake.

The longhaired boy was feeling more nervous by the moment at the thought that this guy might have a way to break the spell his lover had put on him as he was pulled through the camp behind his captor then suddenly, from out of the clear blue sky, literally since that is exactly where it came from, what appeared to be a rouge sun beam lit the surrounding air on fire and everyone, including Duo, hit the dirt instantly. He looked around frantically trying to find the source of it as the air was filled with the sound of laugher, a jovial, infectious, brightly lilting sound that brought joy to his heart just to hear it. Whatever it was he liked it if for no other reason than it seemed to really upset his Chinese companion.

“Away!” Wufei shouted at the sparkling sound as it danced in the air. Duo thought he caught a glimpse of a face, a beautiful face with huge blue/green eyes like the sea on a sunny day but then it was gone. No. There it was! No, there! Where was it? Over there!

“Hello.”

Duo spun around at the sound of the melodious tenor but nothing was there. Everyone within his sight seemed totally and completely confused save for Wufei who was just down right pissy about it all.

“What have you there?” the voice sang, each word coming from a different corner of the world as if it had originated on the wind in the farthest corners of the land.

“He’s mine!” the Chinese boy snapped jerking on Duo’s ropes. “I stole him! Now leave us!”

“Pretty.”

The word echoed all around bouncing and rebounding until Duo was dizzy from trying to figure out where it had come from or where it was going then he gasped as delicate hands closed around his wrist then were gone and his bindings fell to the sand.

“Run,” the voice laughed and suddenly Wufei was surrounded by exploding sparks that crackled loudly and lit up the day as if it were night.

He didn’t take the time to ponder his good fortune and obeyed the happy tenor turning to bolt through the confused soldiers. He thought to snag a bit of clothe as he fled and realized as he found his way to the edge of the camp that he was in a forest now, the desert stretching out to the west. This was the edge of Hiiro’s domain and a lucky break since he could not only hide in the trees but find water and food. Hiiro would find him somehow, he was sure of it but his plan took a wry twist for the worse when he slammed into the chest of another no sooner than he entered the trees. He had just a moment to gape up into his glittering, emerald eyes before he found himself tossed over the new comers shoulder and carried off into the trees. He was swift, impossibly swift actually and why in the hell was he wearing fur pants in the damn desert? Well, Duo was stark naked save for the bit of cloth he’d snagged which wasn’t doing him much good as he still held it in his hand as he was bumped and hopped and otherwise scurried through the forest until suddenly they stopped and he was dumped unceremoniously into a bed of soft, sweet smelling moss. He lay there for a moment just trying to catch his breath and give his mind a minute to catch up when he froze yet again and gapped open mouthed in wide wonder. His savior? Or newest captor whatever the case may be... was .. half goat?

It hadn’t been fur pants. The creature that stood before him had a pair of very recognizable goats legs complete with a heavy covering of thick, dark brown fur. His chest was bare showing off a rather well formed upper body that kind of made Duo want to chew on his tongue when he looked at it and he had a face that whispered elegance, energy and life.

“Who the hell’re you?” What else was he supposed to say? The green eyed… ummm… creature didn’t reply with words, his only reaction was to spring backwards in a kind of cavorting leap drawing a pan flute from his back that he began to play before he even hit the ground. Duo laughed just to see such sport then blushed at having thought something so idiotic. Then a very odd thought struck him. “Pan?” he ventured and the other grinned from ear to ear and piped him a lively tune.

“Trowa.”

Duo started. It was that voice again and it echoed all around making the very air to shimmer in its presence. “What?”

“Pan is the name…”

“...you humans…”

“...bestowed upon him.”

Duo turned and once again found himself gaping in awe. For the first time he got a look at the owner of that melodious voice as he walked right down a sun beam that had broken through the forest canopy and took his place at the green eyed fawn’s side. The nature of their relationship was easy enough to assess when `Pan`, as it were, slipped an arm around him and pulled him close. It was akin to looking at liquid light. A bit of the sun molded and shaped into the form of a boy and set with two spots of sun drenched sea where the eyes should be. He was the most beautiful boy Duo had ever set eyes on bar none. Not even Hiiro could match his ethereal beauty and that was saying something.

“Wow,” was the only word that came to mind but it appeared to please the brightly shimmering spirit.

“Shall we take him?” Trowa grinned speaking for the first time.

“Whoa! What?” Duo gasped rushing to fit his little clothe over himself as best he could. The golden boy’s answer was to suddenly disappear leaving his lover with a pout and a frown. Duo started when he reappeared off to his left then shimmered and was there... on the right... no behind... above… “Could you stop that?” he said finally holding his head. “It’s making me dizzy,” he told him shaking his marbles back into order again.

“Pretty thing,” the wraith sang, the sound of it once again echoing all around as he appeared first here then there then suddenly he was right in front of Duo’s face and smiled then in a breath he was gone again.

“Not as pretty as you,” Trowa said to the air looking all around.

“But you would have him,” the other argued fading in before his face and out again before he could close his arms around him.

“I didn’t mean it,” the green eyed boy argued looking around more desperately now. “You are all I could ever hope for,” he told him.

“You like him.”

“Not like I like you.”

“You want him.”

This was getting a little sickening. Especially the way the golden boy kept popping in and teasing the other relentlessly showing off his beauty but never letting him touch.

“I don’t,” Trowa told him growing more frustrated. “I want you… I always want you.”

“He’s very pretty.” Duo jumped again when these words were said right next to his cheek then the boy was gone again in a wisp of aquiline air.

“Dog ugly compared to you.”

“Hey!” Duo snapped. This shit wasn’t his fault! He felt a little better when `Pan` winked at him but not by much.

“Liar,” the ghostly tenor accused.

“You’re right,” Trowa suddenly said turning to face the longhaired boy. “He is beautiful isn’t he? Perhaps a small taste would be in order after…”

Duo had been quickly gathering himself to back away and run but there appeared to be no need as the blond suddenly appeared and solidified right in front of his lover looking cross and fit to be tied so Trowa scooped him up in his arms and kissed him. He didn’t disappear this time and Duo found there was another reason to cover his manhood as the blond boy’s delicious groaning filled the air. It wasn’t so bad though, at least they were preoccupied for a minute and he could …

“AH!” he gasped turning to find the blond boy in front of his face again.

He turned back to assess Trowa’s state over this but he was still busy kissing him. Wait… he turned back and yes... there he was... but… another check on Trowa and he was also still doing the tonsil tango with him. One more turn of the head confirmed that the second blond boy was indeed sitting there grinning at him then as suddenly as he had appeared he burst into a thousand glittering stars that all rushed to Trowa’s side and solidified into a perfect replica of the boy he was already holding in his arms.

Duo shook his head but it didn’t go away. Why didn’t that ever work? The fact that Trowa simply opened his arms and let the second boy in with no more reaction than to switch his kiss to the new comer’s eager lips seemed to confirm the reality of the pair. How damn many of these guys were there? He decided maybe he’d worry about that later since the two blond boys seemed intent on dragging the goat boy to the ground at the moment. It was a weird sight considering his lower half wasn’t even human. He had what counted though, Duo got a real good look at that as the two blonds crawled all over him including under the furry little loin cloth thing he’d been wearing. It hadn’t been noticeable at first but once removed it was very easy to see why he covered himself. His groin area was impressive to say the least. Almost as impressive as Hiiro’s and if those two kept up with what they were getting at it was bond to get even more impressive real quick. This seemed like a pretty good time to exit stage left.

“They will find you...” the one blond said as he kissed the all but hyperventilating Trowa’s stomach.

“...if you leave,” the other finished the sentence digging in to nuzzle the crevice between fur and loin. Trowa gasped and kicked the earth spilling dust into the air as he thrashed slowly about. Duo swallowed. It was the oddest thing he’d ever seen but it was hot. Really, really hot. No wonder the ancients thought of these people as Gods.

“You must stay...”

“…within Trowa’s protection.”

What in the hell did that mean? His thoughts strayed back to the stake and his humiliation and the fact that Wufei had said he could break the Destiny spell, his heart speeding up as he realized the soldiers were all around them searching off in the distance yet none of them came their way. More magic. Something to do with how this Trowa protected himself from being found and Duo suddenly found himself completely dependant on that fact. It wouldn’t have been so bad if his company wasn’t about to have a threesome right in front of him but even so he had little choice at the moment so he curled up on his bed of moss and tried not to think about it. Yeah right.

No mater how hard he tried his eyes kept straying back to the group. The two blond boy’s took their time driving their lover totally hair ripping nuts before finally giving in and allowing him to work off some of his frustrations. Duo could feel the heat in his own body as he recalled the feeling of Hiiro’s hand doing to him what Trowa’s was now doing to one of his blond lovers. He had one of them squirming on his back as he lapped and fed on his body and prepared the other for what was to come. It was really weird when he guided the first over top of the second, Duo figured either they weren’t blood brothers or they were really unreasonably kinky when the one slipped inside the prepared twin’s body.

Duo ached for Hiiro’s touch as he watched the green eyed fawn stroke the lower as he prepared the top boy kissing them both all the while, his oddly shaped legs moving expertly around to aid him in his endeavors until finally he moved behind the top boy and took him. Idly Duo wondered how Hiiro would feel about sharing him with another if it were like this but then, he didn’t really think he could bring himself to do himself... or... something like that. He just really wasn’t that vain. The blond didn’t appear to have any problem with it at all however. As a matter of fact, he seemed to get off on it immensely. It took a very long time to bring things together that first time and Duo realized that he was in for a very long night when the blond boy’s began to work their exhausted lover even before he had caught his breath but then… there was a small trickle of water than ran down the rock face they were hidden beside that provided him with the fluids he’d lost and miraculously a fruit tree laden with sweet, ripe fruits that he wasn’t quite sure what were but they were tasty and filled his stomach and by the time the three had reached their second culmination he felt himself dozing off in his moss bed, only vaguely aware of the fact that Trowa had no intention of allowing his two little lovers to escape quite yet as he dragged them beneath him and kissed them slowly in turn. Well, it had been a very weird day that had left him with a zillion questions, lost him his home and landed him in a strange place with some even stranger people but there was only one thought in his mind as sleep came to claim him… Hiiro.
