"The Other Side of the Horizon " Written By: Stone Angel
Disclaimer: Oh, please. Do you honestly think
I'm making money offthis? If I was, I'd be writing a whole lot more
and it wouldn't takegetting drunk to do it. I don't own the characters
or the show, if Idid, it would be SOOO different. Screw the war, let's
see how we canget Heero and Duo in a locked room after taking away
their clothes.(wolfish grin) I just like to make the creators cry
with the way Iwrite their characters. ^____^ Mission accomplished.
hehehe Rating: NC-17 for GRAPHIC lemon. Warnings: Hmmm... Well, actually not much. Nothing
bad, anyway. I mean, as far as things go, this fic is really fluffy
and light. There's Lemon(the most detailed stuff I've written yet)
and a little blood but not really enough to count. Oh, some angst
but not enough to make it too sad. Generally, this fic is pretty easy
to swallow. Pairings: Quatre and Trowa. (My first 3X4 fic! Yay!) Spoilers: None really. AU and all.
"Other Side of the Horizon" Epilogue Quatre looked about the empty house and sighed woefully. `I'll miss this place.' He turned out the oil lamp on the wall next to him. "Q! We going?" Called Duo from outside and Quatre looked back and smiled. "Hai. Chotto matte kudasai." He looked over to the hall that led to his room and walked to it, looking into his bedroom that seemed utterly empty and deserted. Save for the one thing in his life he held most dear. Trowa was looking about the room, seeming to memorize every small detail with his stunning forest-green eyes, a small scowl on his brow and a sad look in his green depths. "Trowa?" Trowa turned to him and smiled slightly. "Hai?" Quatre stepped forward and embraced him, looking up into his eyes, asking if he was alright. Trowa shook his head. "I'm fine. I will just miss this place. There are a lot of memories here." Quatre nodded. "We can always come back." He offered. "Fifty years from now if that." Trowa smiled wryly. "It's alright. I can wait." He looked over to the where the bed had been. "It's just strange." The house had become Trowa's as well, the four of them all living together, he in Quatre's room. He had learned English to communicate easier with Duo and Wufei and could pronounce everything with almost no accent whatsoever and he had learned everything he wanted Quatre to teach him, science, art, literature. He had quit his job and they had sold his house and he had moved into Quatre's where they had all lived for the next year. But, sadly, they could not stay in the same place forever, and, tonight, they moved to a new town. Quatre nodded and leaned his head against him, squeezing him in his arms briefly. "Oui." "Winner!" Quatre chuckled as Trowa rolled his eyes at Wufei's impatience. "Should we make him wait longer?" He asked with a smirk. Quatre blushed and shook his head. "Ah, no. I think he would come in and drag us out of the house, clothed or no." He held one of Trowa's hands and stepped back, pulling it gently. "Come on, Love. We don't have much time." Trowa nodded once more and they walked out of the house, holding each other's hands tightly. Quatre released him to climb onto his horse that Duo was holding next to his own. Trowa did the same and took his reins from Wufei and they all began to ride South at a quick walk. "So, the stuff will be there tomorrow, right?" Asked Duo as he smoothed an unruly lock of his horse's mane. "Hai. All the arrangements have been made." Quatre nodded. Wufei sighed nearly silently and Quatre looked over to him. He just shook his head. "This place..." Everyone nodded and looked up to the stars. Quatre smiled slightly as he bathed in their light. "I think we will all miss it. But, as they say,C'est la vie. It will still be here a hundred years from now." Everyone nodded again and he closed his eyes. He felt Trowa caress his mind gently and smiled, looking to him. Trowa was smiling at him, his green eyes dazzling in starlight, his hair shining beautifully as a small breeze came up and stirred his bangs. Quatre held out his hand and Trowa took it, the two of them twining their fingers together and exchanging squeezes before releasing to give their horses a little more room. /Ai shiteru./ /Ai shiteru./ Trowa returned. "So how far is it, anyway?" Duo asked distractedly as he gazed upward. Quatre looked forward into the far distance. "About twenty kilometers. We'll get there before sun up." "Ah." Duo said before grinning. "Ne, Fei. I'll bet you I can beat you there." He grinned over to him. Wufei rolled his eyes and snorted. "You would get lost before you got there, Baka. There is no way. And besides, even if you DID know where you were going, I would win as my horse is faster."' Duo trotted his horse over to Wufei's, walking along side him. "Bull crap, Short Shit." Wufei bristled and Duo laughed and took off. "Hiya!" His horse galloped away quickly. Wufei was really angry now. "Kutabare! Come back here and take your beating like a man!" He took off after him and Duo laughed harder. Quatre shook his head and wanted to ask the children to behave themselves but knew that it would do no good. "I'll just hope they do not tire their horses out." Trowa chuckled next to him. "Let them. A little sunlight will do them good." Quatre smiled. "I'm sure Wufei would have something to say to that." "As am I." Trowa smiled and looked up to the stars. "Do you miss it?" Quatre asked. Trowa nodded slightly. "Oui. But as you said before, C'est la vie." He scowled slightly. "Or UN vie depending on how one looks at it." He shook his head and grinned to him. "But I regret nothing." Quatre smiled at that and looked to the stars with him. "I love you." "I love you." Trowa returned. Quatre sighed contentedly as he gazed at his lover. Trowa gazed back at him, his eyes steady, constant. Just like he was. They met hands and smiled as they followed after the others toward the horizon.
