see how we canget Heero and Duo in a locked room after taking away
their clothes.(wolfish grin) I just like to make the creators cry
with the way Iwrite their characters. ^____^ Mission accomplished.
hehehe Rating: NC-17 for GRAPHIC lemon. Warnings: Hmmm... Well, actually not much. Nothing
bad, anyway. I mean, as far as things go, this fic is really fluffy
and light. There's Lemon(the most detailed stuff I've written yet)
and a little blood but not really enough to count. Oh, some angst
but not enough to make it too sad. Generally, this fic is pretty easy
to swallow. Pairings: Quatre and Trowa. (My first 3X4 fic! Yay!) Spoilers: None really. AU and all. Ok, well, technically, the next chapter is the
moment you've all been There is a dream in this chapter that if you sit
and seriously analyze, Also, a quick warning for blood in this chapter.
There's a scene where Also, look out for insane Duo.
"Other Side of the Horizon" Chapter 10 ~Eleven months later:~
Peaking around the door, he saw Duo playing Moonlight Sonata on the Grand and Trowa standing next to the piano's lifted and propped top, his eyes closed as he played the notes. On the pad in the corner of the room, where he usually
meditated, Wufei had one eye barely open, watching the two but pretending
to be deep in thought, his legs crossed and hands palm up on his knees.
On his lips Duo wore the same smile as he watched his fingering closely, making certain not to touch a key that would produce an undesirable note. Trowa swayed slightly with the melody and Quatre knew that if the flute allowed the player to smile, he would have worn a grin. Smiling to himself and leaning against the doorframe, watching them all, he listened to the song, drumming his fingertips against the wood silently with the notes. It was one of the most perfectly played pieces he had ever heard and it filled his heart with joy to think of who the performers were. Within a few moments, the song retarded and ended. Duo and Trowa grinned to each other, Trowa showing him the self Quatre saw rather than the shy, stand off-ish persona he usually adopted around those he did not know very well. Stepping completely into the room, Quatre clapped his hands and grinned to Trowa. Wufei quickly closed his eye again and resumed his façade of meditation and Duo grinned to him while Trowa smiled brightly. "That was incredible." Quatre said as Trowa walked to him and embraced him. "How long have you two been playing together?" "Only two hours." Duo beamed. "He's a really quick learner. We sounded good, ne, Fei?" He called into the corner, purposely disturbing Wufei from his activities, or lack thereof. Wufei grunted but did not open his eyes, though he could not keep a very small smile from his lips. Duo said something to him in Chinese and Wufei's brow twitched slightly as he scowled almost imperceptibly, the braided man laughing at the reaction he got. He had learned many curses in Chinese very quickly after they had met Wufei and he never missed an opportunity to use one. Trowa smiled to Quatre and draped an arm around his shoulders. "Duo was tormenting him again when I got here." He whispered as Duo continued to taunt the man. "I decided to try and distract him so that he didn't get himself killed." Quatre patted the hand on his shoulder in gratitude. "Thanks. I would hate to have had to clean up the mess." Trowa chuckled and they looked back to the others when they realized that all was quiet. Duo was grinning to the two of them and Quatre became nervous. "What?" He asked. Duo just shook his head. "Nothing. It's just... You two look good on each other. I think `adorable' is not an accurate enough word for the two of you." "Enough!" Everyone turned to look at Wufei who was annoyed. Walking forward, Wufei grabbed Duo's braid and headed for the door, forcing him to leave the piano. "Come on. YOU need some air." "Oi! Let me go!" Duo tried to free his hair to no avail. "Come on!" "No. You are annoying the hell out of everyone. Time to leave." "Demo, Fei!" He began to complain before he was interrupted. "Demo ja nai." Wufei said quickly. "You'll thank me later. Unless you WANT to hear them having a go at it." He muttered. Quatre blushed furiously at that, and, shaking his head, hid his face in his hands while Trowa chuckled shamelessly. Wufei dragged Duo, who had given up on freeing himself and merely crossed his arms, out the front door and Quatre and Trowa listened to them bicker as they got farther and farther away from the house. Raising his head from his hands, Quatre glanced up to Trowa who was grinning. "Do you think they...?" "No!" Quatre shook his head quickly. "They're not. If they even began, they would kill each other within the first week. They are just too different to get along for even a short period of time. After Wufei started living with us, the house became a war zone. They even had boundaries and rules that they could not cross or break." He shook his head again. "They're like children sometimes." Trowa laughed at what Quatre was certain was a funny mental picture, but he could not share in it. `He didn't see it first hand. He can still laugh about it.' He mused at how well Trowa, Duo and Wufei had gotten along. Wufei never really warmed up to people enough for them to like him and Duo was often shy. Trowa, due to the fact that Katherine had been the only person with which he had really socialized for eight years, was better at handling animals and was never really good at talking with people aside Quatre. But they all seemed to get along well, all of them letting their masks fall. They had all become closer and closer in the last year and Quatre smiled to think that they were all friends. `What more is there that one wants in life?' He thought contentedly. Trowa nibbled gently under his ear suddenly and Quatre moaned. "So." He whispered. "They left us alone for a reason. Should we let them be out in the cold in vain?" Quatre grinned, turning his head and kissing him as he pulled him by his shirt to the other side of the house where his room was. * * * ~~~~~ "You're not cold?" "I am always cold. But it does not bother me." Quatre answered. Trowa was straddling his hips, Quatre laying on the mattress, the two of them in bed, coming down from the height of passion. Trowa placed a hand over Quatre's heart. "You are cold. And quiet." He said and looked deeply into Quatre's eyes. "Your eyes are like windows. ...I can see you." He whispered and Quatre shook his head at him. "No, you don't. You have never seen me. You would not like what you saw if you did." "Is that why you are so quiet?" He rubbed the skin under his palm. "Oui." "Why wouldn't I like it? I love you." "You do not know me. You love who you think is me." Quatre said and Trowa laughed, throwing his head back as he did. "I've told you already, no?" He looked down into his eyes. "I can see you." He said slowly, trailing a fingertip down Quatre's chest. "I just don't know that it's you I see." "You speak in riddles." Quatre said and crossed his arms. "You live in them." "Stop it, Trowa." Quatre tried to sit up but Trowa pushed him down again. "Do you want to know what I see?" He asked as he traced his features with his fingers. "My `angel'?" "No." Quatre said and tried again to sit up to no avail. `When did he become stronger than I?' Trowa smirked to him. "I see..." His hand reached for the curtained window over the bed. "...you." "No! Trowa!" Quatre struggled harder. Smiling, Trowa pulled the curtains open and blood flooded the room from the window. The room filled and Quatre shrieked and held tightly to his blankets in one hand while the other made a grab for his lover as Trowa was swept away. He grasped his hand for a moment before Trowa's slipped from his grip and his lover was taken further and further from him in the current, the blood washing Trowa away with it while Quatre could do nothing but watch. Suddenly, Quatre felt that Trowa was gone and screamed, his heart feeling like it was being torn in two. "TROWA!!!!!" ~~~~~ "TROWA!!!!!" Quatre bolted upright in bed, shaking violently and gasping for breath as if there was no air in the room. `It was... It was the dream.' He reassured himself as he looked about his room. Trowa was at work, it was afternoon and Quatre was alone in his bed. Trowa had said that he would return that night. He suddenly felt ill and he continued to try to pull air into his lungs, but it was almost impossible to get enough. His hands hurt and he looked to them to see that his knuckles were white, his grip on the edge of his blanket so tight that his muscles were cramping. Trying to get them to let go, he managed to relax one enough to use it to ease the other from the fabric as well. He let them fall to his lap as he shook. `I can't...' He thought as tears came to his eyes. `I can't do this anymore. I can't lie to him anymore. I have to tell him. ...But... Can I do it? What if he leaves?' He whimpered at the thought. `I have to risk it. I can't go on like this. This is the fifth time I have had this dream. I need to see him. I need to tell him. He has a right to know. Kuso, Trowa... I hope you don't hate me after tonight.' He shook for what seemed like hours more before he managed to calm himself enough to begin to think clearly about what it was he would say to his lover when he saw him later. "Allah, help me." He whispered to the empty room. * * *
