" Mornings "

Disclaimer: I don’t own Gundam Wing or any of its characters.

Summary: The sun is making its presence known but Duo doesn't want to know about it.

Warnings: sap, fluff, OOC, PG, het, childish Sally, tired Duo, unbeta-ed (because I didn’t want to bother her with this short little thing ^^;; But knowing myself, I’ve probably done some major grammatical errors only because of that. Why couldn’t I be born in an English-speaking place? *grumbles about how my great grandparents never immigrated into America*)

Mornings

***

The sun’s annoyingly bright luminosity, shining in through a hole in the blinder, had settled right over Sally’s eyes. At first not realizing what was causing the irritation of her eyes, she blinked sleepily a couple of times, before understanding that it was to no use. It took her some more moments to apprehend her options. Either, she could move her head into a more uncomfortable position beside her pillow, but she wasn’t keen on that, she was too restful as it was. Then, she could pull the covers over her head to protect her poor eyes from such devilish light that *dared* to shine at her this early in the morning, but she quickly decided it was too hot. Now, she could either get up from her nice spot in bed and move the blinder slightly, or just order her lover to do it. Hmm . . tough choice.

“Duo, get your lazy butt up and fix the blinder.” She half-groaned, half-ordered. It was *entirely* to early too be nice and ask politely. And Duo was never nice to *her* in the moring so . . . gods, but she sounded like a five year old.

Sally hated mornings.

“Hmmm.” Duo’s more asleep than awake voice agreed, though to *what* was unknown. It was definitely not to fix the blinder, which became obvious after a few moments of inactivity. Instead, something sounding suspiciously like a snore was heard from his side of the bed.

She managed to get her eyes open though the sun, and squinted frowningly at her fast-asleep boyfriend. *His* side of the bed was *of course* free from sunrays! How unfair. Once again, she considered her options (and old habit from the war, now five years ago) and came up with only one solution. Moving in unusual speed considering her tired state of mind, she rolled around once and positioned herself above the braided young lover; elbows holding up some of her weight, but letting the most go down on Duo’s own body.

“Mppfhh!”

“It’s your fault Duo.” She rested her head underneath his chin with a yawn. “Suffer the consequences.”

There was a pause before Duo wondered quietly. ”‘This is a consequence? I rather thought it was a perk.”

“Whatever.”
