Author’s note: This fic is a rewritten version of a fic I once wrote, called Nobody’s perfect. Some might recognize it. I’ve added parts of both Duo and Heero’s past, Duo about his life on the street, Heero about his harsh training with Doctor J. The original story, the one in their present lives, basically stayed the same. I’ve also added a prologue and epilogue. I have indicated AU on Duo’s behalf, especially concerning his past. No Maxwell church, no sister Helen, no Sweepers on his fourteen years old. He did meet Solo. But I’m gonna stop rambling now before I give everything away. Don’t let the het scare you away, I promise some good boys on boys action ahead ^_~ Well, enjoy! Reviews would be nice.

Destination Eden

Chapter 1

Sunlight poured in the bedroom through the windows. What was that weight on his chest? Scandalous buzzing rang through the room. Angry fingers fumbled at the buttons of the guilty alarm, until they found the right one. Heavenly silence. Now, what was that weight on his chest? He opened his eyes. Dream? Where did his dream go? Stowed in the back of his head and saved for later use. Why couldn’t his dream be reality? Why was it that all he could enjoy every day were mere fantasies and unreachable desires? Why did it feel so wrong to have all those dreams, fantasies and desires? Why were there so many why’s in his head?

He lifted his head. Still that weight on his chest. Oh, Lord in heaven, Relena.... jumping straight from his nightmares into his bed. He got up, ignoring her voice as he did so. She was sprouting something about the fallen Sank Kingdom, about her brother seemingly being gay and having started an affair with Wufei and how disgraceful that was, about the peace on earth and in outer space, about how hard it was to maintain that peace. Almost automatically he closed his ears off from it. Bathroom, kitchen, breakfast, ride to work, he ran the mental check list the whole time in the back of his mind thoughts of brown, soft hairs gliding over his hand, slender fingers teasing his skin, elegant leg stroking past his. Glory be, at least they had separate offices. He the third floor, she the top; seventh or so. Like it stopped her. Phone call here, visit there, quickie with the door locked, not a problem. Not if it were up to Heero. Down Relena, stay in your kennel!

He didn’t love her, beautiful and young, that she was. Dark blonde hair, blue eyes, nice physique. Everything a man could wish for. But he wasn’t a man. Well, he was, but he didn’t think like most men. He loved men. So did that make him less of a man, that he loved men? There he had to chide himself. He didn’t love men. Neither did he love Relena. Neither did he love the brown, soft hairs, slender fingers or elegant leg. He didn’t love anyone. Doctor J wouldn’t let him. Love was a word that couldn’t be found in his vocabulary.

Tell her he didn’t love her? Why should he? He got laid, that was all that mattered to him. Strange actually. To love someone was not allowed, to fuck someone was. Never thought of that before. One of these days he should talk to Doctor J about that. Diving into the bed with Relena, making love to her like nothing was wrong, possessive, haughty Relena who likes bossing everyone around. Most logical, she was the boss. Or so she preferred seeing it. In truth, Lady Une stood at the head of Preventer, but since Relena also held a high position, she had easily pried her way into the Preventer building, having her office right next to Lady Une’s office. And so, she at once had proclaimed herself assistant manager of Lady Une. How that woman had agreed to it, he still didn’t know.

The annoying traits that he'd had to accept along with his dearest Relena, had only reinforced his nerves of steel. Everything she said went in one ear and out the other. “Yes dear, you are right”, “Yes honey, I will”, “Yes love, I know the grass urgently needs to be cut.” It was like a recording he had taped and played every day. Sometimes he wondered whether she knew what kind of trick he played on her. Would she be angry if she knew? Would she ditch him and finally leave him in peace? It played through his head, and during moments like that he said to himself, “Keep up the good work, Heero, buddy. You’re getting there.” He needed something different, something really exciting. What he needed was… Well, what he needed was right in front of his eyes every day. Laughing, flirting, being pretty. But he had to keep his hands off him. He could look, but couldn’t touch. What he needed had a girlfriend that idolized him. What he needed was only interested in him for his so called ‘games’.

When they arrived at work, the building was still as good as deserted. No-one seemed to be there yet, they were alone. A silent grid of windows, the world around reflected in their glass.

"Good, alone," Relena thought. Disquietingly quiet, Heero found it. Was it him, or was she really trying to seduce him with her eyes, trying being the keyword here. Oh no, he recognized that look. She would drag him with her to her office and make him make up for failed actions last night. That couch wasn’t in her office for no reason. Was it his fault his hormones had announced a collective strike?

When they stepped out of the elevator, they bumped into Duo and Heero gave a mental cheer. Strike over! Soft, brown hair, slender fingers, elegant leg and so much more. What was the time? Why, look at that, not even eight o’clock yet. He wasn’t too late? Miracles still happened.

“Hiya Lena, Hee-chan,” Duo said, his voice lowering as he spoke the name of the latter, as if he knew about the whirlwind currently going on inside of Heero.

“What are you doing here?!” Relena snapped, noticing that aggravating, mocking expression in his eyes.

“Just hanging around,” he replied with a carefree frown. “That a crime?”

“No, but this isn’t…” your floor, she wanted to say.

“Hey Lena,” he said, pulling her playfully against him. “Wanna suck me off?”

There you go, first victim today. Her eyes narrowed and she ferociously stomped her foot. The nerve! “Duo Maxwell!!” she cried, highly insulted. “How many times do I have to tell you…!”

“As many as you wish, dearie. Try and make me listen to you.”

Oh wicked, really. Duo; darling of my wet dreams, you do realize she can fire you right away? That’s not a way to talk to your superior. Heero thought.

Relena gave a furious grunt and snatched her lover by his hand, noticing that his eyes seemed to be glued onto the smirking face of Duo. It annoyed her to no end that Duo was on first name terms with her -after all, she was the vice foreign minister- but most of all it annoyed her that he couldn’t leave Heero alone for one second. And why the hell was Heero grinning like that? Surely, he wasn’t delighting in seeing her humiliated in such a way?

“Ah, Miss Relena. There you are,” they suddenly heard behind them. Startled she turned around again and her mood made a u-turn.

“Trowa. What’s the matter?” she asked in a mellifluous voice. Trowa... Quatre’s boyfriend. Quatre... the richest guy in the company, no the city, no the country. Smart to handle him with velvet gloves, coz if he were to tell his boyfriend, she sure as hell could kiss her prominent position goodbye. That fellow had enough money to shove her off her beloved assistant manager’s chair without mercy. She'd always wondered why he came to work anyway. Why not sit on his lazy ass for the rest of his life together with Trowa? Or make a trip around the world and never come back? At least, then they would leave her in peace. Well now, Relena, that’s not nice of you, she reluctantly reprimanded herself. Wishing for someone to just disappear is not something you do.

Trowa knew how she regarded him and Quatre. Jealous of their money, jealous because she had to work this hard to earn her living. It was the fact that they could play round games in front of the fireplace for the rest of their days, or could count snowflakes on winter nights if they wanted to that fueled her hatred. But what good are round games if you don’t have any friends? That’s why they came to work. Friends, human contact. Maybe she was even more jealous of their relationship. Love she couldn’t get, that, Heero wouldn’t, or couldn’t give her. Why did that guy stay with her anyway? Always had been a riddle to Trowa, and probably always would be.

“I have to discuss something with you, Miss Relena. Could you please come along with me to my office?”

Miss Relena. Hear that, Duo? *Miss* Relena. “Very well. Let’s go, Heero.”

“No,” Trowa said. “In private.” He looked her straight in the eye when he said that and ventured a slight smile as he saw the almost shocked expression on her face. Had he missed something?

Surrounded by three smirking faces, she felt ridiculed, to say the least. “Trowa, are you mocking me?” she asked, although her question might as well have been directed to all three of them.

“Not at all, Miss Relena. What makes you think that?” he asked earnestly, the smile only a glimpse before it was gone just like that.

“Trowa,” Duo said in a singsong tone, waltzing between the two of them. “Wanna suck me…”

“Duo, don’t start,” he cut his sentence off, raising a declining, yet playful hand. “Hilde’d better drum some manners into you.”

“Naa, I don’t think that’s gonna happen. She likes me the way I am,” he said.

“Oh, so she likes it that you ask anyone who crosses your path to suck you off?”

“Hold on,” he argued. “I only say that to people I know. Besides, no one’s ever taken me up on it so far, ain’t that true?”

Trowa rolled his eyes and gave a little chuckle. “No, fortunately for them.”

“Hey-”

Trowa coughed lightly, and with that little cough his dignified semblance returned. “Miss Relena, if you would come with me please?” He turned around and walked her to the elevator. While the little car searched its way to the right floor, he turned his head as he felt her presence next to him. The little smirk returned to his lips. Obviously, she was in two minds.

What could she do now? Duty called. But the last thing she wanted, was to leave her Heero with that seducing nuisance. Just look at the way he’s squinting at him again, gaping at him with that crooked grin. In her head, she saw the numerous situations in which she had caught the two of them. Duo, always Duo. Duo who swiftly blew on Heero's neck, Duo who was whispering God knows what in Heero's ear, Duo who undressed Heero with his eyes. If she didn’t know any better, she’d think he was…

“Miss Relena!”

“Yes, I’m coming!” she said, reluctantly tearing her eyes away from them.

Duo watched both of them go, and the moment they had disappeared from his sight, he sauntered over to Heero. Heero, with his dark, chocolate hair, with his glistening, shy cobalt eyes. God, he’s so pretty.

“Hey Hee-chan! How are you doing?” he chirped merrily. “Chibi Hee-chan, why looking so sad?”

“Don’t call me that,” Heero hissed. He was only a few shreds of common sense away from sweeping Duo in his arms and kissing those rosy lips senseless. Being mean to Duo was his only defense.

The braided boy laughed his grunts away and continued teasing him, for no reason, just because he liked to do that. “Chibi chibi Hee-chan, brighten up, will ya.”

All of a sudden, Heero reached behind the grinning piece of ignorance, searching for his braid, and tugging rather hard on it when he found it. That braid wasn’t made for tugging on, but for cherishing and loving. He knew that, but at least now he would be angry enough to forget about his flirting.

“Aaaw!” Duo yelled. “What did you do that for?! I was only teasing, you know that!”

“I’ve had enough of your little games. For God’s sake, you’re 20 years old, behave yourself and act like it,” he growled, the braid still in his hand and ready to tug a second time.

Duo turned to Heero’s fist and tried to fumble his braid out of it. Easy now! Don’t pull it too hard. “Aw, Hee-chan. Being 20 is boring you know. I wanna be 15 again. Do you remember? Going off to fight together for a better world? Those were the days, ne Hee-chan? Dangerous days, I won’t deny that, but at least something happened back then.”

It unnerved him that he didn’t listen to him. Hee-chan, what kind of name was that anyway? Duo and his little nicknames.

Finally he let go of the braid again, he wanted to go back to the elevator. Before he knew it, he was trapped between Duo’s arms. The boy had slapped his hands on either side of his head against the wall and if Heero wanted to get away, he had to duck under them, but he was so close, so heavenly close. Heero didn’t want to get away.

“Hey Hee-chan,” he said in a low voice, his eyes glinting with mischief. “Wanna suck me off?”

He should’ve seen this coming! His heart made a huge jump and he had to make a supreme effort to maintain a straight face.

“Wanna fuck me, squeeze me, feel me? Feel me between your legs, on top of your naked body?” Was he crossing the line? Maybe, who cared?

Hell yes! Just say when! Heero’s mind hollered. Hey, where did that come from? Duo's mouth was now close enough to feel his breath caressing his lips, and although his face still hadn’t twitched a muscle, in spite of his inner feelings, his groin was having a rather hard time. Please, don’t let anyone enter the hall right now.

“Hee-chan, kiss me. Come on now, chibi Hee-chan. What’s the matter? Are you scared? Kiss me now,” Duo teased. He could smell the sweat on Heero’s skin, see the hairs on his neck trembling under his breath, hear the light, irregular panting. He was enjoying this. They all turned to putty in his hands, every single one of them. Hunter on the path of seduction, ever looking for new prey. Heero, did I already mention how pretty you are?

For a split second Heero thought he was serious, but God, he wasn’t even supposed to dream of that. Yet he had already done so thousands of times, especially now, with the man of his fantasies only a few millimeters away from him, until he heard a tiny voice in the back of his head. The voice of Doctor J.

They don’t love you, they can’t love you, they mustn’t love you. You can’t give anything in return, it said. Always that stupid, disgraceful little voice. Doctor J! Get the fuck out of my head! I’m having fun here!

“I want to, Hee-chan. I want to kiss you, fuck you, my chibi Hee-chan,” Duo breathed, opening the door of the nearest office and pushing him inside. His mischievous violet eyes were locked onto Heero’s as he started to push with his hips.

He touched him. Why did he touch him? He never touched his victims. Always almost, but never entirely. Why did he do it now? A second voice sounded in his head, of his conscience this time, the eternal battle between angel and devil.

Heero, what do you think you’re doing? raged the angel. Duo’s a guy, you know. You shouldn’t do this with a guy!

Oh, would you shut the fuck up, the devil quickly meddled. Just do what feels right, Heero buddy. Feel those hips against yours. Go ahead, grab that ass and give a good squeeze in it.

Heero had the tendency to listen to the devil.

And then a third voice. Common sense. Just how many little voices did he have in his head?

Heero, you know he doesn’t mean it, it said. He’s only playing, everyone in the building has to face up to it. He just does this to everyone, flirts with everything on two legs and that’s remotely good-looking.

Heero had no other choice than to agree with his common sense. Duo was Duo, no one could change him. It was his human nature. He liked playing, like a cat does to a mouse, and then leaves it behind, bleeding and barely alive.

While the little voices in Heero’s head were fighting to be heard, Duo was doing his best to provoke him. For crying out loud, he was just simulating an orgasm, and when he closed his eyes and tossed his head back, Heero wasn’t entirely sure if he was still faking it. God, it was plain torture. He just wanted to drift off and enjoy the feeling of Duo's hips bucking against his.

“Oh! Oh yeah! That’s it, Heero! God! Oh, go on, baby! Oh! Ooooh!”

You’re not allowed to love. Not allowed to show it. Don’t you dare showing it, Heero Yuy.

Doctor J! Are you still there? I told you, get out of here!

“Stop it, you baka. Cut it out,” Heero said, trying to be at least a little serious. He grabbed one of Duo's wrists and had to suppress a smile when he saw the surprised frown.

Pity, now that they had so much fun. “What? No fun?” He gave another hard thrust, and this was the fatal one in his onslaught. Finally, there was still something alive down there.

“Are we getting a little excited, Hee-chan?” Duo said softly, a peculiar rumble in his voice.

“We” was the exact word. What the hell had gotten into him this time? So, it wasn't the first time he'd stood there flirting. But he had never quite crossed the line before. And why only with him? Why did Duo's flirting with the others stop at only teasing glances and moving his lips within millimeters of the other’s, then pulling away again? In fact, he didn’t even really touch them. Then why was he applying all this explicit physical contact on Heero right now? Could it be that Duo, the senseless, sexually obsessed jerk that he was, was actually interested in him? Surely, that couldn’t be possible. What about Hilde then?

The unbearable tension was broken by the sudden ringing tone of Duo’s cell phone, merry and silly, just like Duo himself. Heero heaved a relieved sigh and set off for his office again as Duo pulled back to answer the call, trying to hide the damn erection, which seemed to be pretty impossible given the tight jeans he wore. He would never curse his member, proud as it was, but rather its jumping up, and the inappropriate moments it could happen. He slowed his pace, finally came to a stop and turned around again as he heard who it was, his false hope shattering and his heart breaking in painful crumbles at the sound of that one name.

“Hilde, my love. So, when are *you* gonna suck me off?” Duo asked, exaggerating the “you” so she would know he had already asked half a building. Scumbag. He was smiling and looking at Heero, just grinning. How he envied Hilde. Duo gave her all his attention, genuine attention. She could love him, kiss him, undress him whenever she wanted too, she could.

He watched him laughing, guffawing and acting like the stupid, foolish bastard he was. Funny, just now he had been a delightful boy, a flirting clown. Now all of a sudden he was a scumbag.

“Oh, is that so? You know, you’ve already called me several times this morning with those little promises and I only left our home 15 minutes ago. Well, I’ve got something special for you as well tonight. Na-ah, not gonna tell you what it is. But you’ll be very pleased with it, I’m pretty sure of that,” he laughed. “Say, Hilde, I’ve got to go to a briefing about the latest mission within 5 minutes, so I’m gonna have to switch the phone off, alright? I'll switch it back on right after. Yeah, I’ll be careful. It’s only a small mission, you know the war is over. Gonna switch it off now. Bye-bye. Love ya.” Smiling brightly, he switched off the cell phone and put it back in one of his large pockets.

“God, Heero. You know what she’s up to now? She keeps on calling me and telling me these… things, you know.”

“Things…?” Heero said with a voice that seemed to come from miles away.

“Yeah, you know. Things. Jeezes, she’s buttering me up over the phone. It makes me so… horny, Hee-chan,” he said, squinting at Heero again. “You know those girls you call when you’re feeling hot, who can give you a hard-on just by talking to you? Well, I’ve got one of those of my own; and for free.”

“You don’t have a hard on,” Heero said calmly.

“I will the moment I get home and see her, at least when she’s gonna do all the things she keeps on promising me,” he laughed. “Well, what do you know!” he suddenly exclaimed. “We’re in Relena’s office!” For the first time, he noticed the little, soft-pink couch in the corner. He pricked up his ears as he heard voices. The voices of Trowa and Relena. “Hey, Hee-chan,” he said. “You hear that? She’s coming back.” He darted to the door and locked it. Now, where did he get Relena’s key from? And what was that awkward feeling Heero got when the lock of the door clicked into place? “Wanna play a game, Hee-chan?”

“I’ve already told you I’m sick of those games,” Heero growled. A game. That’s all it was to him, a game.

“Ah, come on. It will be fun. Pestering little Queen Relena a bit.”

The doorknob was being pushed down, but the door stayed closed.

“What’s this?” they heard Relena saying. “Who’s in there?”

“Hey Hee-chan, are you gonna suck me off now?” Duo said in a voice, loud enough to be heard in the hall.

“Duo? Is that you? What are you doing? Is Heero with you?”

Yes, Heero was with him, and what they were doing? Well, she would find out soon enough. Duo went and lay on the couch, stretching out his full length, his hands folded behind his head and his eyes closed. To Heero’s surprise, he started moaning, soft in the beginning, but louder as seconds crept by. “Oh Hee-chan, oh… Oh yeah, suck it good, baby… Heero, go on…” he moaned, rocking his hips against nothing but thin air.

Heero remained near the door with a kinda helpless and clueless expression on his face. He heard the birds in the trees, not paying any attention to what was happening in here, heard the alarmed pounding on the door, coming from Relena who was making one hell of a drama of what was happening in here. He heard Duo’s voice, his erotic song. A song he could listen to forever and that blocked all the other sounds from his mind. It was no ordinary moaning to him, but a song that enraptured him, made him curious. “Duo, what the hell are you doing?” he said, turning to the door as he heard that very same question coming from his girlfriend, only directed at him now.

Duo had found in his moans the ideal playmate. He just kept going. “God, Heero! Oh… Ah, ah yeah! Aah! Hee- Heero, what… What are you up to?” Suddenly he sprang up from the couch and walked over to Heero, who seemed to find it rather amusing to plague his girlfriend in such a way, for his usually steel-hard eyes were soft now, and he even had the tiniest grin possible playing around his lips. Bingo!

“Heero! Open the door! Let me in!”

“Why don’t you play along with me?” Duo said softly in his ear, squinting down at the bulge in his spandex. “You want to play along, don’t you?”

“How do you mean?” he asked, getting interested. Very interested.

Duo sneaked behind him and slid his hand teasingly from his shoulder down his arm. His warm breath ghosted over his neck and made the hairs stand on end.

Heero balanced between hope and despair. On the outside he stayed calm, although his heart was practically hammering through his ribs. Then Duo suddenly buried his hand inside his jeans and boxers. Heero saw a rainbow of stars dancing in front of his eyes and squealed in surprise, echoed by an overdone scream from Duo.

“Oh yes, Heero! Ah, that’s the spot!” he screamed.

In the meantime, it had become obvious to Relena that those two were fucking each other, or rather Heero, *her* Heero, was fucking that scumbag of a Duo. Thank God, Trowa wasn’t there anymore.

“Heero! Stop that right away! Why are you doing this?! Open the door, dammit! Heero!!” She felt in the breast pocket of her blouse, hunting for her key. Gone?! Vanished! Disaster, catastrophe, it was gone! “Heero!” she screamed again.

Duo’s heart was alive with malicious enjoyment and wasn’t about to stop just yet, the hand in Heero’s boxers either. He was having way too much fun. Easy now. Don’t pull it to hard.

Heero thought he had died and tumbled right into heaven. That was Duo’s hand down there.

“Oh Heero!”

“God, Duo!” Screw the three tiny voices! Screw the fact that he most probably didn’t mean it! This felt great!

“Duo! Duo, please-”

“-Heero, oh! Ooh! Go on-“

“-Duo! Duo, ah… AAH!!”

Tears flooded his eyes and his entire body was covered with a thin, shiny film of sweat. A particularly loud cry left his mouth as Duo gave him a kinda hard jerk.

“That’s good, Hee-chan,” he whispered. “Just go with it. You’re not happy with Relena, are you? You need to find someone else.”

His feigned orgasm again started taking on scandalous volumes, together with Heero’s real orgasm. Duo caught him as he collapsed in his arms, only to then mercilessly throw him aside on the couch. “Afraid though, that someone else won’t be me,” he said, wiping the white sin off his hand with a handkerchief and turning his back to Heero. “Well, time for the briefing, I’d say.” A wicked grin on his face, he took out the key from Relena’s office, which he had snatched from her the moment he got her infuriated about the sucking off-issue. Did she really think he had gotten that close to her just for fun? When he opened the door, the blond girl literally came barging in. Well, would you look at that? They’re falling at my feet. “Lena, how long have you been standing there?” he asked in a suitably surprised tone.

“What was that all about?” she hissed. If looks could kill, her office would’ve been the scene of a massacre.

“Well, I think that’s pretty obvious, ne?” he smirked. “But you’re right to be so possessive. Never knew he was such a great fuck…” Quickly he shoved the key back in her breast pocket. “I believe this is yours?”

The little green monster burst free. Enraged as could be, she brushed past him towards her next target, who sat there with his hands in front of his eyes.

“Heero Yuy, I think you owe me an explanation!” she snapped. Waiting for an answer with an expectant look in her eyes, she stared at him, but he stayed still.

“Heero, did you hear me?!” she shouted, ferociously shaking his shoulder.

“Yes, I heard you,” he said softly.

“Well then?”

He heaved a sigh, a last spasm of his misery and seemed to wipe something away from his eye. “Nothing happened. He didn’t mean it. It wasn’t serious,” he muttered in a broken voice, forced to believe his very own words. “He was just playing a game.”

“Oh, then I must say, you played along quite well!”

“You know what?!” he suddenly yelled, jumping upright and looking her in the eyes. “If it bothers you that much, why don’t you just dump me then? I won’t stop you!” And with those words, he left her and went to the briefing.

To be continued…
