Unfortunately, it doesnt look like Tk is going to get her happy ending very soon *eeps quietly, and hides under computer desk, as Tk brandishes her whip* as this story has taken on a life of its own. Forgive the shameless self-insertion, and the insertion of the two instigators of this fic. But I needed some OCs and this worked for me.
Finding Myself Part 5 It was a bone weary group of girls that sat at the picnic table nearly 4 days later. Having checked to make sure that John was resting comfortably in his room Tk had led the charge to the, now familiar backyard meeting place. "What are we gonna do?" Hawk's question came quietly as the other two girls shared a glance and shrugged. "We can't go on like this," Liz said simply, "I don't like giving him sedatives all the time." "But without them he's having nightmares!" Tk stated, "and we've no idea how long he's been having them and not telling us." Nodding Hawk looked towards the house and frowned slightly. "Like I said what do we do?" she shook her head tried to give her friends a teasing smile, "It's not like we can advertise in the paper!" Tk chuckled sadly, "Oh yes, I can see the headline now, 'Found one Gundam Pilot', would owner please call the following number!" Liz rolled her eyes and sighed, "Hmmp, Gundam pilot my ass," she muttered with a shake of her head, "Not to mention that would have every scumbag Oz official from here to the colonies, beating down our front door." shaking her head she glanced at the house and back to the girls. "Has he said anything to either of you about the nightmares?" Two negative headshakes and Liz's shoulders slumped in defeat. "We're not giving up yet." Tk said. Looking towards the house again, she smiled sadly, "John deserves better then that!" A small smile flitted across Liz's face at Tk's admission. //Looks like I'm not the only one who's gotten attached.// "Yikes, sorry guys, I gotta book it." Hawk
stated glancing at her watch. Two surprised looks met her statement.
" I gotta go in to work for a while, Head honcho's coming in.
Make a good impression and all that." With a wave Hawk disappeared
around the corner of the house. Pulling into her parking spot , Hawk turned off her car and sat for a moment starring at the wall, in front of her. ~~There has to be some way of hooking John back up with his family and friends. But how? ~~A knock on her window, pulled her out of her daze with a start. "Is everything all right Miss Clowd?" questioned the uniformed guard with a small worried frown. "Fine Pete, my mind was elsewhere," Hawk said grabbing her camera and film bag from the seat beside her. "sorry to worry you." Moving into the building Hawks mind began to wander again, and suddenly she run right into another person. "Oh excuse me," taking her arm gently the young man helped to steady her, "are you all right?" "Fine, Im so sorry," Hawk said bending down to pick up her film case and the papers the other had dropped. "I wasnt watching where I was...." her voice broke off as she looked up and met soft compassionate Aqua eyes. "I believe the fault was as much mine as yours," the young man smiled, " allow me to introduce myself: My name is Quatre Rebarba Winner." Gasping softly, Hawk ducked her head in embarrassment, "please forgive me Mr. Win...." "Quatre," The blonde interupted lightly. "and I believe weve established that I wasnt watching where I was going either." "Hawk... Allyssa, is everything all right?" another man stepped up beside the two of them with a worried demeanor. "Fine Mr. Tansin." Frowning slightly Tansin looked at her and growled softly "Roger! And you know that young lady." Grinning softly Hawk shook her head. "OK, so Ill skip decorum, and go straight to familiarity," she quipped lightly. A soft chuckle from Quatre made her smile widen. "So this is the Allyssa 'Cat' Clowd Ive been hearing so much about!" the blonde stated. "Guilty as charged!" Hawk replied, "and dont believe a word they tell you about me, Im not that good," she quipped finding herself completely at ease with the young owner of the advertising agency. "and please call me Hawk, or Cat. Everyone else does." "Now that the introductions are out of the way," Roger smiled gently, "perhaps youd join us in the meeting were late for." Giving Hawk a meaningful look he began moving toward the elevators. Shaking her head and groaning softly Hawk looked at Quatre and rolled her eyes. "Such a slave driver," She quipped in a fake
whisper, causing Quatre to laugh lightly as they entered the elevator. "So what do you think of the proposal?" Roger asked Hawk as they walked towards the elevator once again. "I think there were some interesting points made," hawk replied without conviction "But...?" Quatre questioned looking at her strangely, "theres something your not saying." "All in all the ideas are great, but... well Im not an exec, Im just a photographer." She said simply and stepped forward to enter the elevator. A hand on her arm caused her to pause. "All of my employees opinions are valued." Quatre stated simply, "I suggested, you join Roger and I for dinner and enlighten us as to your views." He finished in a tone that made it clear it was an order not a request. "Of course, I need to make a phone call first though," Hawk replied softly, "To let a couple of friends know I wont be by for dinner tonight." "Tell Liz and Tk, that I said hello would you?" Roger asked and at Hawks nod he continued, "and hows their new roommate getting on? John wasnt it?" "Hes doing as well as can be expected." Hawk said quietly, not seeing the strange glance she received from Quatre. "And Ill be sure to let them know you asked." She stated as they exited the elevator and stopped near the phones. As Hawk dialed Tk and Liz's number she heard Quatre
inquiring about the statement Roger had made about John. A strange
look crossed his face and then his ever polite manner showed through
as he made a non comittal statement about hoping everything worked
out. <that was odd, I wonder what that was all about>. Turning
her attention back to the phone, Hawk, filed the information away
in the back of her mind to contemplate later with her friends. "Hello? Oh hey Hawk. Mmm Hmm, Ok, Stop by later?" Liz disconnected the phone with a strange expression. "Whats up?" Tk asked setting her notebook side ways and leaning forward to rest her elebows on the table. "Hawk, got herself roped into a business dinner," she replied strangely "I thought she was a photographer?" Tk asked confused, "I didnt think they, were needed at business dinners!" "Apparently, she made a couple comments and the boss, wants her opinion on the matter now." Liz said with a grin. A matching grin lit Tks face and she chuckled out right. "Always knew Hawk was wasting her true talents in photography," nodding Liz placed the phone back on the table and picked up her scetch pad once again. Silence drifted on for a few moments until, Tk sighed softly. "Whats up Tor?" Liz asked not raising her eyes from her scetch pad "My inspiration has flown the coop," she addmited gloomily. "I started thinking about John again," she added almost hesitantly. Smiling sadly Liz turned her scetch pad for Tk to get a look. Drawn in soft gray charcoal, was a stunning likeness of John, sad eyes pulling a soft sigh from Tk. "Thats wonderful Liz, youve really captured him well." "I dont like the way his eyes turned out," Liz said softly, turning the pad back to look at it again. "I think it looks fine." Tk said gathering
her stuff togerther. "Time to go in?" Nodding Liz gathered
her things and they headed for the house, neither noticing the figure
standing on the far side of the back yard hedge. "White Dragon, I think I've found him!"
