'Ides' Love You For All Eternity Trowa was the first, merely 3 months after the wars ended, he was tired of life with the circus and ready for something new. Quatre met him at the shuttle port with open arms, their love affair was instentanious and gratifying. Yet something was missing. Heero was the second to arrive, wandering and flitting from job to job, had taken it's toll on him. Working for Relena had offered him no peace, and he was uncertain if he could even show the baser emotions. Trowa and Quatre showed him he could. And it was good. But still there was something missing. The solitary dragon was next. Wufie had tried to make a go of it as a preventor, yet something had been missing and a short fling with Sally had proven to him that she didn't have what he needed, and could not truely understand him. Heero and Trowa met him at the shuttle port the day he arrived while Quatre was in a meeting, and that night, the four of them found a small sense of peace, yet they all sensed that a piece of their puzzle was missing. Four years, four long years from the end of the war, and Quatre's patience, money and space heart had finally won out. On a distant colony was the finally piece to their hearts, if only he would realize it, and not run and hide as was his want when he was afraid of getting to close. They were within moments of docking and Quatre's heart clenched tightly, 'what if he wasn't interested, what if he already had someone? what if...' a light squeeze to his shoulder, brought him away from that train of thought. "Enough little one!" Trowa warned softly "You'll give yourself an ulcer!" Snorting in agreement Wufie and Heero kept silent. But they too wondered if they would find the missing link, or if they would be to late. Somehow he had found out they were coming, but instead of running as Quatre had feared, the long haired American met them at the port, and took them back to his apartment. Though small and cramped the five young men, had never been happier, and as colony shifted from day to night, a pile of exhausted yet happy young men, were found wrapped in an indistinguishable pile, arms and legs entertwined. Duo was the finally piece, the missing link, and now five years later on their fifth anniversary, Quatre smiled as he looked over the pictures in the album in front of him. The fingers of his right hand absently twisting the ring on his left hand, four stones, each colored to match one of his four lovers eyes, and matching bands to be found on theirs. Love it would seem had found them all, and would last for all eternity. ~ Owari ~
