Heavy sighs and the shuffle of papers greeted Trowa Barton as he stepped to the doorway of his friend and teammate, Heero Yuy's office. Shaking his head softly, Trowa watched as Heero pulled a stack of papers towards him, then pushed them away, turned on the computer and turned it back off, picked up his coffee cup and set it down without even tasting it. Watching this whole process repeat itself three times was a little unsettling when Trowa stopped to think how organized and efficient Heero usually was. Leaning against the door frame, Trowa watched as Heero pulled something from his desk drawer and sighed again, twirling the object round and round in his fingers, thoughts obviously somewhere other than work. "Want to talk about it?" Trowa offered softly, a slight frown marring his face, as Heero jumped and looked over his shoulder guiltily at being caught off guard. ------------------------------- Heero struggled to get his sense of direction back, as he shuffled through his papers and computer work. After the third run through of everything in less then fifteen minutes, he sighed and opened his desk drawer, drawing out the pink bowtie from the hideous bunny suit he'd been forced to wear three weeks earlier for Easter. Letting his mind wander back to the events before the party as he twirled the bowtie through his fingers, Heero wished not for the first time that he dared to find someone to talk to. This uncertainty over how to deal with his feelings towards Duo was tearing him up inside and playing havoc with his work ethics. The fact that Duo had been avoiding him for the last three weeks, and had mentioned twice that it might be time for him to find a place of his own, had Heero wondering if he could solve the problem before it ruined whatever chance at happiness that he and Duo might be able to find. The softly spoken 'Want to talk about it?' caused Heero's defenses to go into full blown soldier mode until he recognized the soft voice of his friend. Shaking his head he grunted a negative, shoving the bow back into his drawer, and trying to look as if he were going back to work. Sighing softly, Trowa began to leave, but a voice from the past came back to him 'follow your emotions', it said. A slight smirk painting his lips, Trowa stepped forward and placed a gentle non-threating hand on Heero's shoulder, feeling the muscles tense beneath his fingers as he squeezed gently before letting his hand fall away. "If you need to talk, you know where to find me!" Turning, Trowa left the room wondering faintly if he had done the right thing. A smile graced his usually stoic face as he heard the softly uttered statement floating after him. "I'll remember. Thank you."
