Summary: A conversation in an online chatroom leads to much more for two enemy pilots.
Co-authored with Czarina Merquise.

NOTE: This story begins firmly between Episodes 14 and 15 in the series. And pretty much changes everything else to follow! As we had to adapt the actual timing of events in the series a little in places, you can consider this an alternate GW reality (NOT AU as it's firmly based on the series)

Notes on canonical placement of scenario: Colonel Zechs Merquise of OZ is at the Lake Victoria Base in central Africa while his engineering staff rebuilds the recovered Gundam O1. The Gundam 01 was picked up from the plains of Siberia after Gundam Pilot Heero Yuy self-detonated (and apparently died) the Gundam in response to Lady Une's threat to destroy a colony if the Gundams weren't handed over to OZ.

Gundam Pilot Duo Maxwell, stalled on Earth at the moment since the orders from the colonies dried up after the Siberia incident, is staying at one of the houses owned by the Winner family with his fellow Gundam Pilot, Quatre Raberba Winner, somewhere in the Middle East.

The moment the computer was shut down, Zechs emitted a growl as he freed his erection, his mind's eye fixed on the image conjured up to resemble Duo's description of himself. [There is fire in his large, blue eyes - blue, did he say blue? Cobalt blue, oh yes, deep and lively...and I think he must be rather young - seventeen? Not yet fully grown into a man...]

Zechs leaned back in his chair, stroking himself as he tried to imagine a slender teenager with a long braid a little younger than himself. [I'm only nineteen myself, though I grew into my adult breadth early. But I think I'm still growing in height.] He thought of himself at fifteen, broad-shouldered already, though far shorter, a rather cocky piece of work. [He'd be very slender, I think - his age is in his eyes, voice, and the way he carries himself. A little man... ]

He pictured the long, heavy chestnut braid laying across a slender chest, past a narrow waist to the thin hips, curving past a... Zechs smirked to himself, imagining a sizeable cock amidst a cluster of chestnut curls. [To match that man's voice, he'll surely have a man's cock...] Now his picture showed a slim hand moving the tail of the braid across the more-than-boy's body. [That braid!] Zechs had to admit the thought of that long, ass-tickling braid was extremely erotic. Picturing the tail of the braid dusting across his fantasy Duo's body was bringing him closer and closer to his climax.

Then the braid tail dipped lower, circling the rampant erection of the little man, and Zechs caught a glimpse of a gamin face, a quirky, teasing smile, and a wink. [He's teasing me, oh, shit,] he thought, then gasped as his imagination conjured up a new image of the same man-boy. This time "Duo" was sitting facing away from him, his knees bent, legs folded beneath him. As Zechs watched hungrily, the little devil leaned forward, displaying two nicely rounded cheeks, then dared to reach back and dip the braid tail into his own crack, brushing it across his entrance in an unmistakable invitation...

Zechs managed abruptly to flip the keyboard on the desk over before he shot his load, barely avoiding ruining the keys, but one long, thick stream landed squarely on the monitor screen, the rest dribbling safely on the smooth back of the keyboard and the edge of the desk. Panting, he moaned the little man's name as his orgasm pulsed through him strongly the rest of the way. Finally, he sat back, languid and breathing hard.

[And the reality will be even better... I feel it,] Zechs thought, then a wicked smile stole over his face as he leaned forward again and drew a long, elegant finger through the thick stream of semen on the computer monitor. [This isn't like me,] he mused, [but I love it... damn, but I've given OZ so much, and now... my time is done there, I think. If it weren't for Tallgeese and the prospect of fighting those marvelous young Gundam pilots, particularly that one that almost died... I'd be already gone.]

Abruptly he stood as an unwelcome thought came to him. [Une in the colonies... damn, I see all too clearly where that is going,] he thought as he got something to clean off the computer and desk, then disappeared into the bathroom to clean himself up. [Romefeller is behind that... and I sense more that I won't like... even that Treize won't like. I wonder what he'll do if they back him up against a wall.] There had been noise recently of the new "mobile dolls" - remotely controlled mobile suits. [If that's the way OZ is going... I'm so out of there...]

Quickly he called and made the necessary arrangements: get the Tallgeese prepped for the flight to Cairo, reservation of a room at the Green Nile Serpent Inn, ordering of civilian clothes that he would pick up at a local merchant in Cairo. Meiser, his chief engineer, had agreed to do Tallgeese himself, a two hour prep starting at dawn, to be finished before the regular crew would come on duty for the day for their work on Gundam 01. Zechs would take off as soon as Meiser was done, then fly to Cairo to a private hanger he'd also hired at the local airport where he'd stash his mobile suit.

[I dare not leave Tallgeese behind,] he mused, after talking to Meiser. [If OZ finds Gundam 01 here, they could confiscate it and the Tallgeese... and I'll be in the hottest water of my life. I must be careful...]

Then... he called Noin.

"You're going where?" Lucrezia Noin asked, bewildered, when her superior informed her of his abrupt plans for a little trip.

Zechs had called her in Moscow from his computer despite the hour, dressed in full uniform and mask. "Cairo. I thought I could get away with a little R&R, a change of pace. I haven't taken any time off since... the coup."

The implication, which he hoped she'd catch, was that he was feeling the pent-up effects of the takeover of the Sank Kingdom... and the battle in Siberia.

"Yeah, you have been pushing pretty hard, Zechs," Noin murmured, frowning as she studied his severe demeanor on the computer monitor. [At least he's telling me and not just disappearing,] she noted to herself, then looked at the image of her long-time friend and superior. "Go, get some rest. Do you want His Excellency to know?"

"No," Zechs replied quickly, relieved at Noin's unequivocal support. "Treize has enough on his mind and I just spoke to him earlier. He was just checking in. Things should be pretty quiet for a while. Everyone seems to be focusing more on Lady Une's arrival in the colonies. If we're lucky, it will take some time before they'll think to wonder again about a certain scrap Gundam."

Noin noted immediately Zechs's use of "they". [I knew he'd be going in that direction... oh, Zechs...] "Sounds reasonable. Well, that's it then. Meiser's a good man; he'll hold down the fort there, no problem. You have a good little vacation, Zechs. And I'll see you in... a week? I'm still tracking down the... subject... but I've got a couple leads already."

Zechs had a sudden thought: [Will I be back? Somehow the need to fight that Gundam pilot again doesn't seem so critical... though if he surfaces after recovering, I definitely want him to have his Gundam back... repaired.] "Sure, a week or so." He reached to close the connection, then paused. [Strange... I can't consider him my enemy anymore. When did that happen?]

"Zechs?" Noin asked, wondering what he was thinking about.

He lowered his hand and smiled. "And how is Relena?"

"A handful! She's great, but as soon as she returns to Sank, I'll resume my search."

Zechs nodded, relieved. "Noin, thanks. You're a good officer and a loyal friend. You get some rest yourself, all right?"

She grinned at him, relaxing. "Thanks! Sure thing, Zechs, I believe I will." Then, winking at him, she sketched off a salute. "'Night, Zechs." The connection went dead.

"Good night... Noin," Zechs sighed. [Am I doing the right thing? I have to go anyway... to find out...]

In the morning Zechs took off in the Tallgeese at dawn, tuning the Verniers to something closer to their maximum output but that wouldn't give him another heart attack. [No matter what happens,] he thought, settling in for the long flight, [Tallgeese is mine. It will leave OZ with me, if it comes to that. Besides... no one else can pilot it. It's useless to OZ without me...]

Small consolation... but if OZ was transitioning to mobile dolls as their chief weapons, he'd be obsolete anyway. He frowned at that... [I bet they're going to force the colonies to build the despicable things... damn, the Gundam pilots and their contacts back in the colonies are right. OZ is no better than the Alliance and must be stopped. Treize... how can you...?]

But he knew. Treize Khushrenada, despite all his vision and dreams for OZ, was under the thumb of the Romefeller Foundation ultimately. [His days at the helm are numbered!] Zechs thought, his heart wrenching. [Oh, no, Treize... my friend. We had such dreams... once. But ultimately we are only soldiers following orders.]

Again Zechs thought about the selfless young boy who'd sacrificed himself on the plains of Siberia rather than hand over the Gundam. [That's the difference between me and him,] he mused, feeling a hotness in his eyes. [That boy had a cause... my cause is gone. I wonder... if I could only find a cause... or even join theirs...]

He sighed and attended to his piloting. [Right, as if they'd give *me* the time of day...]
